With the congress fighting the biggest financial collapse, and impending presidential elections in 40days, political hardball is being played with three distinct styles in this country by - Bush, with his usual Shock & Awe cowboy tactics, Razzle Dazzle McCain getting edgier by the day and always looking to shake the campaign compass by weird decisions, & Poised Obama with his cool & calm demeanor always taking a cautious approach. History is witness in many authentic democracies around the world to the fact that, people always prefer predictability in their leaders. An angry politician can probably get elected to lower offices, however people always have voted for a centrist (or atleast to one with that garb) when it comes to the highest office in land. By centrist, I mean one who can stay calm and steer through the crises by building consensus among left, right and all corners. May be I am wrong.. but we will know in 7 weeks.
