Psychologically, it is often said that temperament is the innate aspect of an individual's personality. By all accounts, the even-kneeled temperament very well reflected the real Obama in yesterday's debate, creating a public image which, he is also fiercely selling to voters and independents across America. Time has an excellent cover story on the very same topic in this week's edition - "Does Temperament Matter?", highlighting the issue of temperament and how it has shaped many a leaders in American history. Truly one of the clearest lessons of history is that there's no such thing as the foreseeable future, and particularly in traumatic times such as we have now, temperament is of the utmost importance.One of my best lines in this column - "Meeting Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill said, was like opening your first bottle of champagne. and Knowing him was like drinking it". When McCain is proclaiming loudly about chest-thumping 26th president Teddy Roosevelt being his hero, it remains to be seem if Obama will be able to channel cousin Frank instead.
