Connecting the dots......

Four summers ago on a sunny day in California's apricot orchards, an inspiring CEO summarized his journey highlighting three simple things (1) connecting the dots (2) love & loss & (3) death, as part of a commencement address to Stanford grads. He staged the greatest-ever corporate comebacks in the annals of recent history - almost putting Sony out of business with his digitally aesthetic iPods while rewriting old rules of music industry, revolutionizing mobile- computing with elegant iphones, co-founding the first-ever fully digital and now famous Pixar Animations (remember Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars..) and all these while fighting a pancreatic cancer. The beauty of this poetic justice is that he had to buy back & rebuild the very same company in 90s which had fired him in 80s and which he had co-founded in 70s. Apple CEO Steve Jobs during that speech, also chillingly quoted "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right."
Jobs today announced that he would take a leave of absence from his day to day CEO duties until the end of June due to health issues. Godspeed..
